C-628 UHF Panel AN/ARC-27 Radio Component Avionics - Grade 1 - For Display Only


Product Description

Aluminum housing has scuffs, scratches, dents, etc.; connection pins seem in good condition; enamel wording on faceplate is faded; lightbulbs may be missing; dataplate intact and legible; has a service tag; untested. Sold as is; for display only.

C-628 UHF panel is a component of the AN/ARC-27 UHF Communications System, which was used throughout the 1940's and 1950's on a wide selection of aircraft.

The system uses vacuum tubes, and was pressurized to prevent high altitude electrical arcing.
The C-628 panel has a dial to select between 19 channel settings, and a volume knob.

This particular unit has a DD Form 1577-2 Unservicable/Repairable Tag, listing "Failed Test," circa 1979.
